Meet the Frost Team: Faces Behind the Flower

Every company says its people are its greatest asset, and every company is right. But in craft cannabis, the connection between the people and the product is unusually direct. The person who monitors the nutrient levels determines the terpene expression. The person who trims the buds determines the bag appeal. The person behind the counter determines whether a first-time customer becomes a lifelong one. At Frost, our team of twelve is the reason our flower tastes the way it does, our shop feels the way it does, and our reputation is what it is. Here's a look at some of the faces behind the brand.

Elena Vasquez, our head cultivator, joined Frost in 2021 after fifteen years in commercial horticulture, including a decade growing specialty tomatoes and peppers for restaurant supply. She brought a precision-agriculture mindset to cannabis that transformed our growing operation. Elena is the person who walks the flower rooms at six every morning, checking every plant by hand before the rest of the team arrives. She's obsessive about environmental consistency and has a near-photographic memory for how individual phenotypes behave across different growing conditions. When you compliment the quality of our flower, you're really complimenting Elena.

Marcus Wright runs our trim and processing operation. A former chef who spent eight years in professional kitchens, Marcus approaches cannabis with a craftsman's attention to detail and an artist's eye for presentation. He trained every member of our trim team personally and enforces a standard of hand-trimming that most operations would consider impractical. But Marcus insists, and the results speak for themselves. Our buds arrive on the shelf looking like they were prepared for a photo shoot, because in Marcus's world, every jar is a plate going out to a diner who deserves the best.

Behind the counter, our retail team is led by Aisha Okonkwo, who manages our dispensary with a warmth and knowledge that keep customers coming back week after week. Aisha came to cannabis from the specialty coffee world, where she managed a high-end roastery in Capitol Hill. She saw parallels between the two industries: the emphasis on terroir, the importance of processing, the way a knowledgeable guide can transform a casual purchase into a revelation. Aisha built our budtender training program from scratch, emphasizing terpene literacy, active listening, and the art of asking the right questions to match a customer with their ideal product.

There are more faces we could introduce: Jake, our lab coordinator who catches quality issues before they reach the shelf; Sam, who manages our sustainability initiatives and container return program; Priya, our newest budtender who brings an infectious enthusiasm that lights up the shop. But the point isn't to list every name. It's to show that Frost isn't a brand manufactured in a marketing department. It's a collection of real people who chose this industry because they believe in the plant and in doing things the right way. Next time you're in the shop, ask them about what they do. They love to talk about it.
